Loveland, Colorado, the “Sweetheart City”
Located close to the foothills of the Rocky Mountains and just one hour north of Denver, Loveland, Colorado is well-known for art, valentines, as well as its agricultural past.
Loveland’s population is about 73,000 and growing rapidly. The city’s popularity is due in large part to all the amenities, beautiful parks and hiking, as well as all the sculpture sprinkled throughout the city.
One of the most popular hiking trails in the area is known as Devil’s Backbone. The nature trail runs more than 7 miles, but there are extensions and loops that allow for trips of varied length and difficulty. The keyhole, pictured below is a popular destination, but is closed off during nesting season.
